Barack Obama has been in office 8 months and has delivered more positive results in this time than most of America’s previous presidents. But he is also receiving alot of criticism. Why?

He has pulled together a super-strong team of advisors, and is putting into action manyof the policies he promised duing the run up to the election.

He’s implementing the health care plan he promised he would; he has agreed a stimulus plan to help America’s ailing economy; he has a plan in place to help people struggling to pay their mortgages, he is committed to helping car manufacturers replace gas guzzlers for electric cars; he is working towards forming relationships with leaders that George Bush’s alienated resulting in the terrorism that now plagues the western world.

We could go on, but we’re sure you get the message.

All this in the space of 8 months. It took George Bush 8 years to destroy America reputation, it’s economy and it’s vision around the world – in 8 months, Barack Obama has implemented several strategies to change this. But he is still the subject of alot of criticsm.

Why is that? Most black people grow up being told that if you want to be successful, you have to be 10 times better than your white counterpart. Obama has shown that he is better, slicker and more intelligent than any person of any colour in Amercia today. As the backlash against Obama escalates, what remains to be seen, is whether he will ever be good enough and will his dream ever be respected.
